This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–3 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (407) 286-2225. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is baospotorlando.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 515 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Orlando.
Orlando is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Orlando peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

VETERAN DISCOUNT honored. The Bao Spot has amazing teriyaki chicken bowls and I even tried the “bao” which is a soft white bun packed with your choice of meat. It reminded me of a salty marshmellow if you can feel that texture. Pair that with a nice boba fruit tea and you will have a blast here.

This place was fun to walk into. The theme was pretty cool, even the bathroom was themed. We ordered a Grilled Cheese with fries for our son, some Potstickers and Bao buns: The Astro Pig/The Big Bang/The Yum Yum/The Panko Tofu/a Bao Bun with Fish, which was exquisitely delicious. Overall the food was amazing. Both Shrimp Bao Buns could use some seasoning in the batter or the shrimp. Aside of that, EVERY single bite hit the spot. For drinks we had water and two Boba teas. The Mango Brown Sugar Boba and the Dragon Fruit w/ Lychee. Both had a great refreshing taste! I love that the water was easily accessible, as cups and the soda machine were open to customers. We did receive the appetizer and our son’s food within reasonable time. However, the Bao Buns took over 40 minutes. “**Not a complaint**” It was obvious they were busy prioritizing takeout orders since they were non-stop in the kitchen and taking more orders from dine-in customers. No foul in that, just wish there was better communication about the wait time for dine-in customers. Again not a complaint, the food made up for the wait time and the gentleman was super sweet by randomly offering us a dessert and our son a des

Absolute love the layout of the restaurant. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. We tried 3 different types of bao buns and they were all phenomenal! I will definitely return here whenever I get my bao cravings. Don’t ever change !

Bao Spot is a fairly new spot, and I’ll be honest—the vibe threw me off a bit at first. From the outside, I expected something more traditionally Asian-inspired. Inside, it is Asian-inspired… but with a cyberpunk, industrial, almost Star Wars–meets–Hollywood Studios aesthetic. Dark, moody lighting, textured sci-fi-looking walls—it feels a little out of place conceptually, but it’s undeniably cool to look at. If you’re unfamiliar with bao, they’re light, fluffy, slightly sticky buns—think soft bread without the crust—stuffed with your choice of filling and eaten taco-style. Simple concept, very satisfying when done right. Ordering is done through a self-service computer screen, and they call your number when it’s ready. You can also get alcohol here, which adds to the hangout factor. The kitchen is partially open, and the overall atmosphere stays on the darker side, which fits the futuristic design they’re going for. One of the more unexpected (and cool) perks: they host an open mic for all art forms every Tuesday evening. It’s the kind of thing you might stumble into by accident—and end up staying longer than planned. Overall, Bao Spot feels a little unconventional in theme, bu

Showed up, on accident, on a Harry Potter themed night and dressed up death eaters greeted us at the door… whoever owned/decorated this place was probably involved in the Star Wars ride at Hollywood studios…. Really cool decor and vibe that makes you feel like you’re at a theme park, without paying to enter…. Martian munchies were amazing and so was the the fried chicken, yum yum, and Mojo!! Cool vibe but expect to pay $10 for parking at the old cinema to parking garage or $20 for valet outside!!
